Meet with community leaders and find out the needs in town or at the local food banks.
Clean out your closets, garages and storage bins and sell stuff on Craig’s list or Ebay. Note your giving project and you might get top dollar!
Rent out your closet, charge a few dollars for borrowed stuff and give the money to the poor. Put a jar for change with a sign out sheet by your closet door… remember you will want it back so you can hand it out again.
Give a free carwash and see what people donate to your giving idea.
Let a college student or single mom use your Washer and/or Dryer. What seems so little or something that you take for granted can mean so much to someone else.
Do you have a hidden treasure? Maybe a secret that has been holding you back? Share it with one person you trust and get some freedom. You might be the miracle for someone else by telling your story. It could even turn into a lifetime ministry like Bonnie’s story in the KA2 Book. The truth will set you free.
Open your home. Do you have an extra room that sits empty. Let someone move in with you for a few weeks while they look for a job or are on a short-term missions assignment in your home town.
Donate a car to a struggling single Mom.
Sell something you used to enjoy, but don’t use anymore.
Give your season tickets of something to a charity to use in their Silent or Live Auction.
Ask children to draw or paint pictures about Heaven and auction them off at a “big reveal” Party.
Do you know a celebrity? Have them sign something and sell it for the poor.
